Frances (b. 2000) graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Te Waka Tūhura, Elam School of Fine Arts in 2024. Frances' image-based practice centres on the poetic interplay between image, text, and history to address the far-reaching implications of the Capitalocene on Indigenous peoples, women, and non-human biota. She is concerned with the avenues art offers for reconciling troubling histories and imagining hope-filled futures.
Frances is currently reading for a Master of Studies in History of Art and Visual Culture at the University of Oxford.
